ESE was proud to be part of the renovation of an existing office building to the new Achievement First 75,000 square foot public charter High School in Providence, Rhode Island. This state-of-the-art high school includes a gymnasium, cafeteria, dance studio, media center/student lounge, and more.
ESE provided the design and engineering for all electrical services from schematic design through construction administration stages of Achievement First's newest school renovation. Normal power distributions system were provided from the existing service. Emergency lighting was provide by an combination of emergency lights and an inverter system. Interior lighting system was provided new and exterior lighting was upgraded to new LED light fixtures on existing poles. Lighting sensors were utilized in interior/exterior designated spaces which controlled lighting based on occupancy, vacancy, or daylight to minimize unnecessary electrical usage throughout the facility. In addition, a new addressable, voice evac fire alarm system was provided, including a fire alarm microphone station; all of which was designed in accordance with latest Rhode Island Fire Safety Codes.
